What happens if you can’t show up for clients tomorrow? This practical workshop helps social workers fulfill your ethical and legal obligations to prepare for continuity of care and security of records in case of sudden practice interruption, due to incapacitation or death. You’ll learn what to include in your plan, how to choose a Practice Executor, and how to protect your clients from the risks of abandonment, traumatic termination, or breach of confidentiality. Drawing on the presenter’s firsthand experience as a Practice Executor, this session offers real-world insights, common pitfalls, and practical solutions to help you ease the burden on colleagues and loved ones while ensuring your practice is protected.
